You Need A Career Plan RIGHT NOW!

If you didn't know it by now, our economy is doing extremely bad. It's about time most of you high schoolers thought about what your career plan will be when you graduate. The best way to do it is to get a job. Any job you can find. Whether it's a bus-boy at a diner, or a bagger at your local grocery store. A job's a job no matter what it is, as long as you get a working environment experience first. Another great & much easier way to figure out what you want to do is to become an intern. If you think music production would be fun, go to a recording studio and ask for an internship; meaning, tell them you'll keep the place clean, while helping out with filing and other simple, annoying tasks. This will allow you to see the inside operations and build connections. Trust me, knowing "people" is the best way to get around. A recording studio isn't the only place to do internship, you can go almost anywhere for internship, and the best part is, you can get great community service hours doing it. Do this your entire sophomore, junior, and senior year, until you go off to college. That's 3 experienced years of trying out and deciding what you like to do. If you haven't figured out what you want to do by then, you're basically screwed unless you get REALLY lucky. You need to have your mind set on what you want to do so you can pursue that in college. Don't procrastinate and go to college not knowing what you're going to do. You're just going to waste time and money; money, which it most likely your parent's. If it comes to that point, it's better to choose something, anything, it doesn't matter if you like it or not, just choose it. Then, in the long-run you can decide and work toward what you want to do while you have you current career.
